Redesigning Whatever

Even though blog you’re reading is quite young, redesign was required right from the beginning – feedbacks don’t lie. I love base concept, and it remains the same, but lot of things have changed.

What did? Here is a little list I’d call a changelog:

• Background. Now #FEFFB0.

Whatever was too white. Way too white. It’s still kept in bright colors, but now looks much better.

• Rounding the container.

Awww, sharp corners are leaving the Internet. Even though border-radius is not supported by all browser out there, I decided to use it one more time.

• Comments? Rebuilt.

Avatars are gone, everything’s looking smoother and form is wider. Love it now!

• Categories.

You might have noticed that Whatever had no categories at all. Now, since it might be hard to find something interesting on the blog, I decided to roll them in. And sidebar doesn’t feel so empty anymore.

• Typography!

From sans-serif’s Arial in content, Whatever has moved to… sans-serif’s Lucida Sans Unicode, or, depending on your OS – Lucida Grande. No change in headlines.

And that’s it (although those are not all, you might find more little improvements while reading). As you can see, Wharever still is incredibly simple. And I like it. Hope so do you – waiting to hear some opinions in comments!
