Modern Warfare 2, NOW!

June 2nd, 2009

Call of Duty

I’m not some kinda gamer that sits all days before a computer or other device and keeps succeeding at another games. In fact, I am pretty lame if it comes to playing in many kinds of games. My biggest problem is, that most of productions people are amazed about, I find totally boring. Yeah, something IS wrong with me. Example? Bioshock. Bought on a latest sale on Steam, I just played it for about 15 minutes and turned off. And it was my last contact with this shitty game (sorry!).

Although, what I always loved, are series like GTA, MoH and CoD. Always enjoyed them. The last one dragged me in especially. Infinity Ward with its one of the latest creations, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare created the best single player’s FPS experience ever. Seriously, everyone has to see it.

What was so good about it, you might ask? Epicness. Storyline. Weapons. Characters. And a joy that comes with saving the world. Even though it was incredibly linear, it was AWESOME. Perfectly elaborated missions gave the players an experience just like in movies. Stuff keeps exploding, adrenaline keeps pumping… Incredible, undescribeable gameplay.

This entry wouldn’t probably exist without a mention of a flashback mission, during which we are playing as Captain Price in a sniper mission. Honestly, that’s a best thing that I’ve ever seen in ANY game. Carrying our injured comerade, waiting for a chopper to arrive, and discovering the ghost town. Mindblowing. Totally.

Things described above I’m expect to see in soon-to-come Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2. After not that good World at War (WWII is not cool topic anymore, sorry) my expectations are damn high. Fortunately, all signs on the sky and in the Internet shows it that way – this product is about to be built on the same rules Modern Warfare has been. Trailers, gameplays… Anyways, just see for yourself:

Snow, hiking, riding a snow scooter and, as always, shooting people. Nom nom nom.

I think that this is one of the small group of games that are worth waiting and buying one day after premiere without waiting for judge of smarter people if it’s worth it. I certainly hope I won’t be disappointed. And I’m sure of it.
