Wish of all typographic nerds among us just came true. TypeDrawing.app for the iPhone lets you draw with letters. TypeDrawing first existed as a web app, but I infer it hasn’t become popular at all. Now creators of it decided to let us use TypeDrawing right from device in our pocket.
This tool is incredibly easy and fun to use – we simply choose a font from a quite small variety of fonts – we might draw with Helvetica, Helvetica Bold, same two versions of Georgia and AmericanTypewriter, then MarkerFelt-Thin and random choice of letters, after that pick a bakground, then text we want to draw and… that’s all – let your finger express what you want to show.

1st generation of the iPhone, which currently lays on the desk next to me (and as always – charges) is awesome. Probably the best device that is a phone and a insanely cool tool to browse internet and stay always up to date with Twitter and rest of the geeky stuff. And best iPod ever at once.
Honestly, in my opinion, there’s not much needed to perfection. Although here’s what I’d recommend Apple to do.

I was totally ok with Gameloft making copies of their games on other platforms to the iPhone. They had to start with something, and that looked like a good opportunity. But now they definitely should stop with this shit and get some people to make their products at least a bit innovative.
We got Symbian OS, we got Windows Mobile, and finally, we got iPhone OS.
I think we all are aware of a fact, that this last one is a bit different – completely margined approaches to user, set of features and quantity of devices. Products for these platforms should be handled completely differently – controls, graphics…
Developers from Gameloft just don’t care. Recently they released Assassin’s Creed for the iPhone – looked huge on the beginning, but as always with their products, it came out as copy of same game for Symbian OS (proved, been testing it with a E61 owner), which is slightly stupid considering their experience with creating games for iPhone.
