Honda Insight – Let It Shine

April 27th, 2009, No Comments

Vimeo again confirms its awesomeness by colaborating with Honda in presenting their newest ad – Let It Shine. They decided to create a totally mindblowing effect (built in Flash) to makes your experience while watching the ad better. Wow.

Here’s the link to the ad – HD is highly recommended. Now tune up your speakers and enjoy the commercial. Again – awesome.

There’s also an interesting story behind the ad itself (not what Vimeo did), quote: Hundreds of headlights are used to build one of the world’s largest LED screens. Check out another video.
And, sorry guys, but YouTube sucks comparing to what Vimeo does.

What the hell, Microsoft?

April 5th, 2009, 4 Comments

Microsoft, the company we all hate, finally began fighting with Apple. The company that brought us iPod, has been since years publishing Mac vs. PC videos, where they been have openly laughing at PCs and mostly its OS, which is, in most cases – Windows, of course. Microsoft didn’t give a crap about that – they still made everything they own way, without any response to these ads, until now. Now they decided to shot themselves an own goal. Great move, Microsoft!

That’s the second ad of the newest Microsoft campaign, where they are giving people some money, following them with cameras, and waiting to buy a PC. Of course, this wouldn’t make any sense without visiting Apple Store. Sounds pretty fair – young people buying laptops, and chosing PCs as a perfect piece of hardware for their need. But Microsoft did something terrible – they are saying, that Macs are sexy. We all know they are – but shouldn’t concurency deny that? I don’t think that admitting that your product is worse (less sexy, less cool equals in general opinion worse) can gain you some users.

But at least that’s doing something and finally getting an official statement – Macs are better, cooler, but more expensive. Buy a PC.

Not forceful at all, isn’t?
