Wish of all typographic nerds among us just came true. TypeDrawing.app for the iPhone lets you draw with letters. TypeDrawing first existed as a web app, but I infer it hasn’t become popular at all. Now creators of it decided to let us use TypeDrawing right from device in our pocket.
This tool is incredibly easy and fun to use – we simply choose a font from a quite small variety of fonts – we might draw with Helvetica, Helvetica Bold, same two versions of Georgia and AmericanTypewriter, then MarkerFelt-Thin and random choice of letters, after that pick a bakground, then text we want to draw and… that’s all – let your finger express what you want to show.
